Glentress, Saturday 5th Dec - what a beautiful day - clear and bright, with snow higher up - amazing Christmas card-like views - shame we forgot the camera!
Was only going to run for half hour, as done nothing for weeks - but it was SO lovely I just kept going higher and higher - then undid most of the work 2.5 hours later by eating a mega large breakfast. Only ran 1.5 hrs of that - like an icerink up top of spooky woods red trail - was entertaining watching mountain bikers slithering around on berms!
Felt really good to be running.
Having a long, if unintended break has left me raring to go again. Was sat watching swimmers at sports centre last Fri evening whilst waiting for my son and his friend to finish table tennis - my choir rehearsal finished early - I SO wanted to be in there, but had no stuff..
So being back at tri pool training last night felt great - and hadn't deteriorated that much - didn't sink anyway! Lots of drills..
Got sent some beautiful photos up Helvellyn weekend before last night - thanks D. I'll try and add them - though will probably fail to!
