...Derbyshire cream scones vs Yorkshire...

Managed my planned medium bike ride today, despite trying to warm up using cyclowarm in 5 and not being able to lift legs forward without pain - especially left one...but ok once moving...nothing too steep today..but some undulating and short steepish bits..eg up from Harrop Hall to Monsal Head, and a few bits of the quarry road after Windmill..lovely day - and yes, it was a lovely cream scone at cafe at Monsal Head, but I think Muker won overall - certainly on the coffee! The view at Monsall is amazing though..

10.30am - med bike, about 32k, just short of 2.5 hrs Castleton - Hathersage (MAIN RD),  right to GRINDLEFORD  reliving Hathersage tri route, which I did in 07, 08..right to Calver (NOT turning up Froggat Hill!), straight on to hassop, left up steepish hill  thru ? then on up more grdually to Monsal Head..stopped for scone and coffee, then on up before dropping down to main road A623 (?625) left then right meandering towards Bradwell, but found a left turn to hamlet of Windmill, which vaguely remembered my sister mentioning, and it looked like it stayed up in the hills, rather than dropping down to Bradwell - and it meandered round the quarry behind HOPE and dropped down in Castleton down Siggatts Hill road..so that worked out well
